The defending champions of the Mexican Pacific League, Naranjeros de Hermosillo, secured third place in the standings after defeating Charros de Jalisco 4-0 and benefiting from the loss of Algodoneros de Guasave. Robert Stock earned the win with an outstanding performance of seven scoreless innings, while Luis Payán took the loss. Hermosillo’s offense exploded in the fifth inning with a four-run rally, highlighted by a home run from Alfonso Rivas. With this victory, the Naranjeros added 8 points in the first half of the season and are now preparing to face Venados de Mazatlán.
