NORRIS DE VUELTA AL TRIUNFO EN MÓNACO

NORRIS BACK TO WINNING WAYS IN MONACO

Lando Norris scored his second win of the season and his first-ever victory at the Monaco GP. Charles Leclerc and Oscar Piastri completed the podium, while Verstappen lost the lead on the penultimate lap. It was a brilliant race at the Monaco Grand Prix for Lando Norris, who converted his Saturday pole position into his second victory of the 2025 season — and his first at the iconic Monte Carlo circuit — giving McLaren their first win at this venue since 2008. A victory born from pure strategy Norris managed to overcome the Virtual Safety Car periods, heavy traffic, and the two mandatory pit stops to secure a win ahead of hometown favorite Charles Leclerc, who finished second, and teammate Oscar Piastri, who rounded out the podium. The two-stop rule played a key role in Lando’s win, as Max Verstappen held the lead up until the penultimate lap, when a required second pit stop dropped him down to fourth. Wins don’t get much more special than your first one at Monaco 🏆 👏👏👏 @LandoNorris #F1 #MonacoGP pic.twitter.com/UESssim4Zf — Formula 1 (@F1) May 25, 2025 With this result, Norris closed the gap to Piastri in the Drivers’ Championship, sitting just three points behind — the Australian with 161 points and the Brit with 158. Verstappen remains in third place with 136 points. The rest of the field Rounding out the top 10: Lewis Hamilton finished fifth, Isack Hadjar took an impressive sixth, Esteban Ocon came in seventh, and Liam Lawson achieved his best result of the season, scoring his first points with an eighth-place finish. Alex Albon was ninth, and Carlos Sainz completed the points-paying positions in tenth. From 11th to 15th: George Russell, Ollie Bearman, Franco Colapinto, and Lance Stroll filled these spots. At the bottom of the final standings were Nico Hülkenberg, Yuki Tsunoda, and Kimi Antonelli. Those who did not finish the race included Pierre Gasly, due to a collision with Tsunoda, and Fernando Alonso, who retired after a mechanical failure. Cover photo: X (@F1)

VESTAPPEN NO BAJA LOS BRAZOS DE CARA AL GP DE MÓNACO

VESTAPPEN NOT GIVING UP AHEAD OF MONACO GP

With his victory in Emilia-Romagna, Max Verstappen tightened the drivers’ championship heading into the Monaco GP, now just 9 points behind Norris and 22 behind Piastri. The four-time Formula 1 World Champion, Max Verstappen, is not giving up in the fight for the 2025 Drivers’ Championship. In what seemed like a steep downfall for the Dutchman against McLaren, the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix saw Verstappen claim his second win of the season, setting the stage for a fiery battle at the Monaco GP. A three-way battle In a Grand Prix that seemed once again destined for McLaren, with Oscar Piastri starting from pole, it turned into a thrilling race where the Red Bull driver struck in Italy to defeat both papaya-colored cars—Lando Norris finishing second and Piastri third. With this crucial win, Verstappen significantly closed the gap in the Drivers’ Standings, now sitting third with 124 points—just 9 behind Norris. Piastri remains in the lead with 146 points, only 22 ahead of Max, a gap that could be overturned dramatically in Monaco. Recent history favors Red Bull in Monaco A key statistic favoring Verstappen and the energy drink team is that Red Bull has won three of the last four Monaco GPs, with two of those victories claimed by Max himself. Meanwhile, the British team has not won in “Le Rocher” since 2008, when Lewis Hamilton drove for them and secured their last win in Monaco. MAX VERSTAPPEN WINS IN MONACO!!! 🏁🏆🎉 The Dutchman wins a dramatic dry/wet race with Fernando Alonso finishing second and Esteban Ocon taking third with a stellar drive 👏👏👏#MonacoGP #F1 pic.twitter.com/09wqvTFp6f — Formula 1 (@F1) May 28, 2023 Additionally, none of McLaren’s current drivers have ever won in Monaco—Oscar Piastri’s second-place finish remains their closest shot at victory in the historic race. MAX VERSTAPPEN COMPITIÓ EN UN FERRARI, BAJO UN SEUDÓNIMO

MAX VERSTAPPEN RACED IN A FERRARI, UNDER A PSEUDONYM

Max Verstappen, under the name Franz Hermann, took part in the first NLS practice session driving a 600 HP Ferrari GT3 from his team. The Dutchman is aiming to race in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring. This weekend, Formula 1 takes a break, and many drivers take the opportunity to relax and step away from racing—except Max Verstappen. The four-time world champion stole the spotlight at the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Series (NLS) in a rather peculiar way, as the Dutchman participated in the first practice session of the competition, driving a Ferrari and under a false name. Franz Hermann, Verstappen’s alias Although the Formula 1 (F1) driver wanted to stay under the radar during this practice, driving a 600 HP Ferrari GT3 labeled with the name Franz Hermann and Dutch nationality, his helmet and suit gave him away, as both bore his real name. Moreover, he was racing for his own team, Verstappen.com Racing. The reigning F1 champion showcased his driving skills, proving they extend beyond his RB21. Even though it was a short session, Verstappen made headlines during what was supposed to be a racing-free weekend. Verstappen wants to compete in the NLS This wasn’t just a whimsical decision by the Dutch driver—there’s a clear goal behind it: Verstappen wants to obtain the Nordschleifen Permit. This would be his direct pass to compete in the 24 Hours of Nürburgring, an endurance race that has captured Max’s attention. Verstappen has become a big fan of this circuit through virtual NLS competitions, even securing a win in this series via simulator. He has shared his desire to make the leap from the virtual competition to the real track. Cover photo: X (@Max33Verstappen)

FRANCO COLAPINTO REGRESARÁ A LA F1

FRANCO COLAPINTO TO RETURN TO F1

Following the dismissal of Oliver Oakes as Alpine team principal, the team announced that Franco Colapinto will be their new driver alongside Pierre Gasly, moving Jack Doohan to a reserve role. The news many Formula 1 (F1) fans were waiting for—especially from the Latin American community—is now official: Franco Colapinto is returning to the driver lineup of the top tier of motorsport. Alpine made the announcement this Wednesday, stating that the Argentine driver will take Jack Doohan’s seat. A five-race trial for Colapinto This news came shortly after the French team announced the dismissal of team principal Oliver Oakes and the immediate appointment of Flavio Briatore to take over the role at Alpine. Oakes was the main supporter of Doohan, but following his resignation, Colapinto will step in as the main driver alongside Pierre Gasly, with Doohan moving to a reserve position. The 21-year-old’s return to F1 will begin at the Emilia-Romagna Grand Prix (GP), where he is guaranteed five races, after which his seat in F1 may rotate, according to Alpine. This means Colapinto will drive at least until the Austrian GP. The Argentine already has F1 experience This change had been anticipated ever since Doohan showed inconsistency since his F1 debut, experiencing frequent issues with his car throughout the season. Since Colapinto was already Alpine’s reserve driver, many speculated that his promotion was imminent.   “I cannot wait to get started.” Looking forward to next weekend in Imola 🇮🇹 pic.twitter.com/oALDwFSnFC — BWT Alpine Formula One Team (@AlpineF1Team) May 7, 2025 Support for the Argentine also stems from the fact that Colapinto already has F1 experience, having driven in the second half of the 2024 season when he replaced Logan Sargeant at Williams. He managed to score points in Azerbaijan and Austin, although he also suffered two crashes during that stint with Williams. Nonetheless, Colapinto is expected to deliver better results than Doohan. PIASTRI WINS IN MIAMI AND CONSOLIDATES HIS LEADERSHIP POSITION

Oscar Piastri claimed his fourth victory of the season at the Miami GP, remaining at the top of the Drivers’ Championship. Norris (2nd) and Russell (3rd) completed the podium. Fourth win—and third in a row—for Oscar Piastri in this 2025 Formula 1 Season. The McLaren driver reached the top of the podium at the Miami Grand Prix (GP), further solidifying his lead in the Drivers’ Championship standings. Perfect day for Piastri and McLaren A great race for the Australian at the Miami International Autodrome, as during the 57 laps of the race, Oscar Piastri showed consistency in his car, climbing from fourth at the start to take the lead that Max Verstappen had held for 13 laps, maintaining it all the way to the checkered flag. This was not only a dominant race for Piastri, but also for McLaren, as Lando Norris finished second after an intense battle with Verstappen while he was still leading. At one point, Norris went off track and dropped to fourth, but over the course of the race he recovered second place, giving the papaya team a 1-2 finish on the Florida coast. Thus, McLaren dominates both championships, with the Miami winner leading the Drivers’ Standings with 131 points, while Norris follows with 115. The British team also leads the Constructors’ Championship with 246 points, followed by Mercedes with 141, who completed the Miami podium with George Russell in third place. ANTONELLI EN MÁS JOVEN EN CONSEGUIR UNA POLE EN F1

ANTONELLI: YOUNGEST EVER TO ACHIEVE POLE POSITION IN F1

Kimi Antonelli makes history and becomes the youngest driver to secure a pole position in any F1 competition, after setting the fastest lap in the Sprint Qualifying in Miami. One of the big attractions for this 2025 Formula 1 (F1) season was the presence of six rookies on the grid, bringing a breath of fresh air to the competition with new talents on track. While most of these newcomers have stayed in the midfield or back of the pack, one in particular has stood out: the 18-year-old Italian driver Kimi Antonelli. Antonelli, a young driver who excites Mercedes At just 18 years old, the Italian became the youngest competitor in F1 history to achieve a pole position, spoiling the party for McLaren and beating the time set by Oscar Piastri, who will start second, and Lando Norris, who will line up third. With a time of 1:26.482, Antonelli surpassed the mark of the current leader in the Drivers’ Championship, as Piastri had set a 1:27.527 on his best lap, which had put him on provisional pole until Kimi came through, driven by youth and a desire to impress the world—something he is clearly doing. With this first pole of his career, his team showered him with praise and applause, giving Mercedes renewed hope in the young talent they have. The rest of the Sprint Qualifying Moving on to the rest of the starting grid, Max Verstappen will start fourth, George Russell is fifth, sixth and seventh places go to the Ferraris with Charles Leclerc ahead of Lewis Hamilton; while Alexander Albon, Isack Hadjar, and Fernando Alonso complete the Top 10. FERRARI Y RACING BULLS CAMBIARÁN PARA EL GP DE MIAMI

FERRARI AND RACING BULLS TO SWITCH FOR MIAMI GP

Ferrari and Racing Bulls unveil bold new liveries in Miami, while Sauber refreshes its design with a twist on its classic colors Known as “The Magic City,” Miami is one of the most anticipated stops on the Formula 1 (F1) calendar—not just for the racing, but for the vibrant spectacle surrounding the Grand Prix. And this year, Ferrari and Racing Bulls are joining the party with bold, one-off liveries, while Sauber offers a fresh take on its usual color scheme. Racing Bulls go pink for Miami Drivers Isack Hadjar and Liam Lawson will be hard to miss at the Miami International Autodrome, as Racing Bulls have opted for a special edition livery that features pink as the dominant color, accented by white patterns across the car. This striking design on the VCARB 02 is inspired by Red Bull’s Summer Edition White Peach flavor—fitting for Miami’s tropical, party vibe. The entire team, from the cars to the drivers’ race suits, will don this pink and white theme for the weekend. Ferrari adds blue and white to its traditional red Ferrari has also jumped on the Miami hype, unveiling a livery that keeps the team’s iconic Ferrari red but adds blue and white accents on the rear of the car, including the rear wing and wheel rims. These colors reflect the branding of Ferrari’s new title sponsor, HP. While eye-catching, the new color combination received mixed reactions from fans—many noting that the contrast between the bright red and the cool blue and white feels disjointed. However, Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton’s race suits, which embrace the full blue-and-white palette, have been well received—leading some to wonder why Ferrari didn’t extend this look across the entire car. Sauber sticks to black and green—but with a twist Also debuting a new design in Miami is Kick Sauber. Unlike the others, Sauber is keeping its classic black and green color scheme, but the layout has changed significantly. For this weekend, the green appears in a paint-splatter style, giving the cars of Nico Hülkenberg and Gabriel Bortoleto a dynamic and edgy look without straying from the team’s identity.

DANIEL SUÁREZ SHINES AT TALLADEGA

CLIMBS TO NINTH PLACE IN A RACE MARKED BY CHAOS AND DETERMINATION 💥🏁 Daniel Suárez once again proved why he’s one of the most consistent and tenacious drivers in the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season. The Mexican, behind the wheel of the #99 Trackhouse Racing car, delivered a memorable performance at the Talladega Superspeedway, where he originally crossed the finish line in 11th place, but after post-race disqualifications, moved up to an official ninth-place finish 🔥🇲🇽 The tenth round of the championship wasn’t easy for anyone. Talladega, with its 2.66-mile (4.27-kilometer) layout, is known for its extreme speeds and countless race-day variables. Starting from 24th on the grid, Suárez faced a serious challenge at one of the most unpredictable tracks on the calendar. But the Monterrey native quickly showed his racecraft 🐍, steadily climbing the ranks with smart moves and controlled aggression. Suárez’s brightest moment came during Stage 2, when he emerged as the outright race leader, sparking hopes of an even bigger achievement. While he didn’t hold the lead for many laps, it set the tone for an intense afternoon battling among the best. However, a costly pit road mistake — overshooting his pit box — dropped him to 32nd just as Stage 2 came to a close. It was a bitter setback, but not the end of his story in Alabama 😤⛽ With an unbreakable spirit, Daniel went all in during the final stage, determined to turn the tide. He took full advantage of the #99’s solid handling and the surprising absence of “The Big One” — a rarity at Talladega — to steadily move forward. In the final 10 laps, he was knocking on the door of the top 10, running 12th as the checkered flag approached. In a wild final lap, Suárez crossed the line in 11th place, but the final word had yet to be written 📉🔧 Hours later, NASCAR announced the disqualifications of Joey Logano and Ryan Preece, who had finished ahead of Suárez, due to technical violations discovered during post-race inspection. This bumped Suárez up to ninth, earning him crucial championship points and reinforcing his consistent form in a season that still holds plenty of promise 📈✅ The result not only boosts his stats but also strengthens his role within Trackhouse Racing, keeping him in the conversation as one of the drivers to watch in the upper-mid tier of the standings. Suárez has shown maturity, resilience, and grit — key ingredients for what lies ahead on the calendar. 📍 The action doesn’t stop, and the next challenge is already on the radar: Texas Motor Speedway in Fort Worth will host Round 11 of the season on Sunday, May 4. It’s a fast, demanding track with history — and Daniel will be aiming to keep the momentum going as he edges closer to NASCAR’s elite.

FERNANDO ALONSO: WILL HE RETIRE?

FERNANDO ALONSO WANTS TO LIVE THE FUTURE, BUT WITHOUT CHAINS Fernando Alonso 🟢 never stops surprising. At 43, the two-time world champion continues to shine in Formula 1 behind the wheel of the Aston Martin, the team with which he’s contracted until the end of 2026. But despite his full commitment on track, the Spaniard has made it clear that he won’t commit beyond what his motivation allows. And that commitment is more emotional than contractual. “I’ll keep racing as long as I feel fast and competitive,” he states — with the clarity of someone who knows time doesn’t stop 🕰️. Since returning to Formula 1 in 2021 with Alpine and then joining Aston Martin’s ambitious project in 2023, Alonso has found a place where he’s not only a driver but also an active part of building a team aiming to contend with the regulation changes coming in 2026 and Honda’s arrival as the new technical partner 🧠🔧. For Fernando, that year will be a turning point. “I don’t want to put the team in a difficult position if in two or three years I no longer feel motivated,” he explained. That’s why his deal with Aston Martin is built with flexibility and mutual honesty: the contract runs through 2026, but decisions beyond that will be made season by season. A retirement at 50? “I don’t know. Definitely not at 50. But after 2026, we’ll see,” he said with a smile 😏. Behind that calm demeanor lies strategy. The arrival of Adrian Newey, one of the most influential designers in F1 history, has been a powerful magnet. “When we were discussing the new contract, that news didn’t exist yet. It was another surprise. All of that made it very attractive,” admitted the Asturian, who says he maintains a transparent relationship with Lawrence Stroll and his son Lance, which will ease future decisions about his role within the team. Because Alonso thinks beyond the steering wheel. While his current priority is still racing, he hints that his presence at Aston Martin will continue beyond his time as a driver 🧑‍🏫. “My contract with the team goes beyond my racing career,”he revealed. “I’ll be here for many years, in another role. If we win a world championship and I’m not behind the wheel, I’ll still feel very proud of the project 🏆.” Even though Aston Martin hasn’t maintained the competitive level in 2024 that it showed early in 2023 — when Alonso was a frequent podium finisher 🏁 — the Spaniard remains calm. He’s focused on long-term work, on the process. “I enjoyed 2023 being competitive, and now I enjoy the process we’re building,” he said. He knows they’re not yet the team of the present, but he firmly believes they’re building a team capable of dominating the future. His departure from Alpine happened precisely because he didn’t see a clear path to the championship in the short term. At Aston Martin, however, he found a more ambitious vision and the desire to build a winning structure, even if that requires patience and consistency. “In the short time I have left as a driver, I thought Aston Martin was a better place for me,” he reflected. Thus, Fernando Alonso stands before Formula 1 with the experience of a veteran, the mindset of a builder, and the heart of an eternal competitor. His mission isn’t just to race. It’s to build a legacy 🛠️, to leave a mark. And if destiny takes him away from the cockpit, he’ll still remain close to the team that reignited his passion.
