His tenure was criticized for decisions like starting Javier «Chicharito» Hernández despite his poor performance due to injuries and failing to establish a clear playing style. In an official statement, the club thanked Ortega for his contributions and indicated that a replacement will be announced soon, given the urgency to plan for the Clausura 2025.
