The New York Jets have appointed Darren Mougey, former assistant general manager of the Denver Broncos, as their new general manager following the dismissal of Joe Douglas in November after a disappointing 3-8 start to the season.
Mougey, 39, spent the last three seasons as assistant GM for the Broncos and has built an extensive career with the organization, starting as a scouting intern in 2012. He also served as director of player personnel in 2021.
Now, Mougey joins forces with new head coach Aaron Glenn to rejuvenate the Jets and put an end to their playoff drought. The team hasn’t had a winning season since 2015, when they finished with a 10-6 record.
