Liam Coen Named New Head Coach of the Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars have announced Liam Coen as their new head coach after reaching a five-year agreement. The decision comes after a surprising turn of events where Coen, initially ruled out, accepted a contract extension with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers before reconsidering. Coen met with owner Shad Khan and interim general manager Ethan Waugh to discuss the position following the departure of GM Trent Baalke. At 39 years old, Coen becomes the franchise’s eighth head coach, replacing Doug Pederson. This move aims to provide much-needed stability for franchise quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who has experienced coaching turnover in his early NFL seasons.
