Good news for golf! The LPGA will return to Mexico in 2025

After eight years of absence, women’s professional golf is returning to Mexico with the Riviera Maya Open, which will take place from May 19 to 25, 2025, in the iconic Riviera Maya destination. This event, organized by the Ladies Professional Golf Association (LPGA), will be made possible thanks to GS Sports Management, a Mexican company led by Gustavo Santoscoy Arriaga. The last time Mexico hosted an LPGA tournament was in 2017, and now, with prominent Mexican players like Gaby López, María Fassi, and Isabela Fierro, the tournament will offer a great opportunity for them to compete in front of their home crowd. Riviera Maya will be the perfect setting for this event, which will not only feature elite golf but also high-level experiences for attendees. The LPGA, the most important tour in women’s golf, thus reaffirms the growth of this sport in Mexico, solidifying the country as a key destination for international events.
