Major League Baseball will be back in Mexico next year. The historic Boston Red Sox announced their visit to Mexico to play two preseason games against the Monterrey Sultans. The games will take place at the Mobile Super Stadium in Monterrey on March 24 and 25, 2025. This will not be the first time that this baseball venue will host MLB teams, as teams such as the Milwaukee Brewers, Los Angeles Dodgers, Houston Astros and Anahiem Angels have already visited the Monterrey diamond. The Los Angeles Dodgers have renewed Tommy Edman, MVP of the National League Championship Series, with a five-year, $74 million deal. Key to their 2024 title run, Edman’s contract includes an additional option that could extend his stay through 2030. The 2024 MLB champions are already preparing for both their immediate and long-term future by securing one of the standout players from their championship-winning season, utility man Tommy Edman.     Recently named MVP of the National League Championship Series, Edman agreed to a five-year deal with the California team worth $74 million, ensuring he remains with the Dodgers through 2029. Edman played a pivotal role in the Dodgers’ championship success, driving in 11 runs during the NLCS and recording an OPS (on-base plus slugging percentage) of .988, earning him the series MVP honors. The Dodgers acquired Edman on July 29, 2024, in a multi-player trade with the St. Louis Cardinals.
