The NFL has suspended Houston Texans linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair for three games without pay following a late hit on Trevor Lawrence in the game against the Jaguars. NFL vice president of operations, Jon Runyan, justified the suspension by stating that Al-Shaair’s actions endangered player safety and did not reflect the league’s values. Al-Shaair plans to appeal the suspension, which will keep him out of games against the Dolphins, Chiefs, and Ravens, with his return scheduled for Week 18.
