Christian McCaffrey, running back for the San Francisco 49ers, suffered a knee injury during the 35-10 loss to the Buffalo Bills, which could potentially end his season. Coach Kyle Shanahan indicated that the injury could involve the posterior cruciate ligament (PCL), and although a clear diagnosis is still pending, he acknowledged that McCaffrey might not return this year. This setback adds to an already challenging season for McCaffrey, who had been sidelined with Achilles tendinitis during the first eight games. Before getting injured, he had his best run of the season, with a 19-yard carry, seven rushes for 53 yards, and two receptions for 14 yards.
