This situation occurred because Martin will undergo surgery on his ankle, which will mean the third intervention on his ankle. As he is already considered a veteran, since the guard is 34 years old, it looks closer his retirement from the gridiron than a return to it, so the Cowboys would undoubtedly lose a key element of their defensive line.
