Vikings in control at home
Things started well for the Vikings on their home turf, with a field goal and a touchdown following a fumble recovery giving the home team a 10-point lead by the end of the first quarter. In the second 15 minutes, a solo field goal from Minnesota put them up 13-0 at halftime.

In the third quarter, the Bears managed to narrow the gap with a field goal, but this slight comeback didn’t last long as the Vikings added another touchdown to lead 20-3 heading into the final period.

The Bears’ attempt to close the gap came up short
In the final quarter, the Bears tried to cut into the lead with another field goal, but another Vikings touchdown continued to spoil their hopes. A blocked return kick by Chicago offered a glimmer of hope when they converted it into a touchdown, making it 27-12. However, the Bears missed the two-point conversion. After this play, Chicago failed to recover an onside kick, and the Vikings added three more points to secure a 30-12 win.
