TOUGH RACE FOR DANIEL SUÁREZ IN MARTINSVILLE
The Monterrey-born driver faced a challenging weekend in the NASCAR Cup Series✨ The NASCAR Cup Series held its seventh race of the season at the demanding Martinsville Speedway🏎️, where Daniel Suárez endured a race full of difficulties behind the wheel of the Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 #99 for Trackhouse Racing. The Mexican driver struggled to find the necessary pace and finished in 21st place. From qualifying, things got complicated for Suárez, who secured the 33rd spot on the starting grid. On a short 0.526-mile (−846 meters) track, every tenth of a second matters, and the Monterrey native lapped half a second slower than the pole sitter, Christopher Bell🏁. Despite a tough start, Daniel Suárez managed to climb up to 17th place in Stage 1⚡️. However, in the second part of the race, the performance of the #99 car dropped, pushing him back to 26th place😬. In the final laps of the 267-lap race, Suárez tried to regain ground but couldn’t break into the Top 20, crossing the finish line in 21st place, the same result he achieved in the previous race at Homestead🚗. “It definitely wasn’t our day. In Martinsville, nothing is ever guaranteed. The track constantly changes, and today we didn’t have enough speed. The team worked hard, but this is not the result we wanted,” said Daniel Suárez after the race🎙️. Next Sunday, the NASCAR Cup Series heads to Darlington Raceway for the eighth round of the championship, where Suárez will look to bounce back and secure a better result🌟.
