Russell Wins the Race, but Max Verstappen Clinches the Championship in Las Vegas

The nighttime race in “Sin City” concluded with George Russell claiming victory, but the real celebration in Las Vegas belonged to Max Verstappen. By finishing in fifth place, ahead of Lando Norris, the Dutchman secured his fourth Formula 1 World Championship, immortalizing his name in motorsport history.

Now, Verstappen joins an elite group alongside Alain Prost and Sebastian Vettel, who also hold four F1 World Championships. At just 27 years old, “Mad Max” aims to match and perhaps surpass the legends of motorsport, Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher, both with seven championships. First, however, he will need to catch Juan Manuel Fangio, who holds five titles.
