PATO O’WARD CONFIRMS HIS ABSENCE FROM THE MEXICO E-PRIX 2025 🏎️⚡

The Mexican driver shared the news on his social media, leaving fans eager to see him in action. NO PATO AT THE AUTÓDROMO HERMANOS RODRÍGUEZ 🚫🇲🇽 Mexican driver Patricio O’Ward, a star of IndyCar with the Arrow McLaren team, has confirmed he will not be present at the Mexico E-Prix, scheduled for January 11, 2025, at the Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez. The announcement was made by O’Ward himself on his X account (formerly Twitter), where he expressed his disappointment at not participating in the Formula E event. “I won’t be at the Formula E event in Mexico City. Why? I wasn’t given an explanation, but I think the plan simply fell apart,” O’Ward shared in a video, making it clear that the decision was out of his control. CANCELED PLANS AND HOPES FOR THE FUTURE 💭✨ The Monterrey native had been considered to perform a demonstration with Arrow McLaren during the second round of the electric single-seater championship. However, the project was canceled, leaving Mexican fans without the chance to see him in action before the IndyCar season begins. “I hope in 2025 we can do something amazing, maybe a show run with the IndyCar, to bring you a spectacular experience and make up for this absence,” Pato added. A STANDOUT DRIVER IN 2024 🌟🏆 Despite this setback, Pato O’Ward closes 2024 with remarkable achievements. He finished fifth in the IndyCar championship, making him the best-performing driver in the Arrow McLaren team. Additionally, he delivered a standout performance at the Indy 500, securing second place. His next IndyCar season will kick off on March 2, 2025, in St. Petersburg, Florida, where he aims to surpass this year’s results and continue establishing himself as one of the brightest Mexican talents in international motorsport. MEXICO E-PRIX MOVES FORWARD ⚡🇲🇽 The Formula E championship will continue its 2024/2025 calendar in Mexico City, an event that has been a staple since 2016 (except in 2021 due to the pandemic). In the last edition, German driver Pascal Wehrlein claimed victory and is currently the reigning champion of the category. Although Pato O’Ward’s absence will leave a void in the hearts of fans, the electric single-seater spectacle promises thrilling moments and a fantastic experience for attendees. Pato’s future and his connection with Mexican fans remain strong, with the promise of exciting new projects and major surprises for 2025.

Women’s football continues to grow worldwide, and UEFA’s announcement of the monetary prize increase for the upcoming Euro Women 2025 is a testament to this growth. The total prize pool for the tournament has been increased to 41 million euros, which will be distributed among the 16 teams competing.   How much will teams earn for participating in the Euro? During a meeting of the UEFA Executive Committee in Lausanne, Switzerland, it was agreed to increase the investment for the tournament to be held in 2025 by 156% compared to the 2022 edition, which had a prize pool of only 16 million euros. Teams participating in the tournament will receive a fixed 1.8 million euros, equivalent to 70% of the total prize pool. The remaining 30% is reserved for performance, with 50,000 euros awarded for draws and 100,000 euros for each victory achieved. These amounts increase in the knockout stages, with 550,000 euros going to the winners of the quarter-finals and 700,000 euros to the teams that reach the final. The bigger prizes! The grand prize for the European champions has also seen a significant improvement compared to the previous edition, as winning all their matches could yield a total of 5.1 million euros, which is a better prize compared to the 2.085 million euros of Euro 2022, though still far from the prizes in men’s football. Finally, the consolation prize for the runners-up will be 850,000 euros, bringing the total sum of 41 million euros invested in the tournament.

Checo Pérez

THE END OF AN ERA? SERGIO PÉREZ AND HIS POSSIBLE EXIT FROM RED BULL IN 2024 🏁🇲🇽

The future of the Mexican driver in Formula 1 remains uncertain as Red Bull finalizes its lineup for 2025. CRUCIAL DECISIONS IN MILTON KEYNES 🏎️🇲🇽 Mexican driver Sergio ‘Checo’ Pérez might be nearing the end of his time with the Red Bull Racing team. The Austrian team is reportedly considering announcing before Christmas 🎄 that young New Zealand driver Liam Lawson will replace him for the 2025 season. Since the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Pérez has held meetings with Red Bull’s top management in Milton Keynes, where his future options are being discussed. While Pérez is under contract until 2025, his performance over recent months has raised doubts and sparked speculation. A NEW DESTINATION FOR CHECO? 🌍🚗  Among the possibilities for Sergio Pérez’s future is a role as a Red Bull ambassador ✨, involving appearances at marketing and promotional events. However, he could also choose to cut ties with the team to explore opportunities in other motorsport categories. One of the most notable options is joining General Motors’ Cadillac team, which plans to enter the Formula 1 grid in 2026 🚀. This move would allow Pérez to stay active in motorsport while potentially paving the way for a return to the top category in the future. THE NUMBERS DON’T LIE: A TOUGH SEASON 📉🏆 Checo Pérez’s performance has been under scrutiny following a second half of the season with below-par results. Since the Dutch Grand Prix, Pérez has scored only 21 points, with his standout performance in Zandvoort earning him 8 points. However, his results in the Austin, Mexico City, and Las Vegas Grands Prix were disappointing. On the other hand, while Red Bull remains silent, Pérez surprised team staff with a holiday gesture, gifting them bottles of his tequila as a Christmas present 🥂🎁. A GRID IN CONSTANT FLUX 🔄⚙️ The 2025 season promises significant changes in Formula 1. Lewis Hamilton will take his iconic number 44 to Ferrari 🏎️🔴, Carlos Sainz will join Williams, and young prodigy Andrea Kimi Antonelli will take a seat at Mercedes-Benz. Meanwhile, Red Bull seems to be betting on youth, with Liam Lawson ready to step into Pérez’s seat following an impressive stint with their junior team. PÉREZ’S FUTURE IN LIMBO 🌟🤷 Although the official 2025 lineup still lists Sergio Pérez as a Red Bull driver, uncertainty surrounds his career. According to sources close to ESPN, ‘Checo’ Pérez is expected to leave Red Bull Racing. Is this the farewell for Checo in Formula 1? Only time will tell, but one thing is certain: his legacy in Mexican motorsport is already secured. 🇲🇽✨

Los 49ers suspendieron a De'Vondre Campbell por negarse a jugar

49ers suspend De’Vondre Campbell for refusing to play

Abandoned the 49ers’ ship, San Francisco 49ers linebacker De’Vondre Campbell was suspended from the team for three games, due to the player’s refusal to take the field in the game against the Los Angeles Rams. After his decision, Campbell even left the field. For this attitude, the team devised a suspension to punish his “selfish” decision and that the player could not seek activity with another team, this culminated in a three-game suspension, where although the 49ers are not mathematically eliminated yet, these three games may very well be the last for the San Francisco team. For all this, the coach of the 49ers, commented that “his actions in the game are not something you can do to your team or your teammates and still expect to be part of our team”.
