THE LONGEST ICE DRIFT FOR AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE 🌍⚡ The Porsche Taycan GTS has once again made history by setting a new Guinness World Record for the longest continuous ice drift performed by a 100% electric vehicle. The feat was accomplished by instructor Jens Richter, who guided the sports car through a 17.503-kilometer drift on a 59-meter diameter circuit in the frozen region of Lapland, Finland. 🏁❄️ AN EXTREME TEST IN HARSH CONDITIONS 🌡️🚘 The challenge began on January 14, 2025, under freezing temperatures and rapidly deteriorating ice. On his first attempt, Richter managed to keep the Taycan drifting for 11 kilometers, but worsening track conditions forced the test to be halted. However, the Porsche Experience team refused to give up and adjusted their strategy. 📈💡 For the second attempt, the team opted for shorter studded tires, improving grip and allowing the Taycan GTS to achieve the record-breaking feat.
