Liverpool easily beat Real Madrid

Liverpool easily beat Real Madrid to remain leaders in the Champions League

Liverpool continues its perfect pace in the UEFA Champions League. The “Reds” added their fifth consecutive victory in the European competition with a 2-0 home win over Real Madrid. Throughout the match, the English team was far superior to the Spaniards, but it was not until 52′ when Alexis Mac Allister, in a very good team play, put this dominance on the scoreboard. In the 76th minute, Liverpool scored the definitive goal in a prefabricated play from a corner kick, which ended in a full header by Cody Gakpo.  You may be interested in: https://titansports.mx/barcelona-volvio-al-camino-del-triunfo-tras-vencer-al-brest/   In the game, Kylian Mbappé missed a penalty, this for a great save by Caoimhín Kelleher, which would have meant the equalizer for Madrid. Likewise, Mohamed Salah missed from the 11 steps, when he tried to secure his shot against Thibaut Courtois’ right post, the ball grazed the post and went out, this goal would have meant the 2-0 at the time for the home team. With this result, Liverpool is the only team with 15 points after five Champions League matches. Cover photo: X (@Liverpool)

Jerry Jones may renew Mike McCarthy’s contract as Cowboys coach despite poor results

Mike McCarthy, head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, is in the final year of his contract. Despite the team potentially finishing with its second losing season under his leadership, Jerry Jones, the team’s owner, has not ruled out renewing McCarthy’s contract. McCarthy joined the Cowboys in 2020, and after a difficult start with a 6-10 record due to Dak Prescott’s injury, he has managed three consecutive seasons with 12 wins and 5 losses. This year, with Prescott sidelined again, McCarthy holds a 4-7 record. Despite the struggles and lack of postseason success, Jones has publicly supported McCarthy, praising him as an exceptional coach with great ideas. In five years with the Cowboys, McCarthy has won 46 of 78 games but has only secured one playoff victory. While speculation about a coaching change continues, Jones is not yet considering it.  You may also be interested in: Ravens defeated the Chargers on Monday Night   Foto de portada: X(@dallascowboys)

Commanders Cowboys rivalidad

Commanders vs. Cowboys: One of the NFL’s Most Intense Rivalries Takes Center Stage in Week 12

Two of the NFC’s historic franchises face off once again. The Washington Commanders and Dallas Cowboys will reignite their storied rivalry from the 1970s, this time in a context where the Cowboys desperately need a win, while the Commanders are aiming for their eighth victory of the season. The main event of Week 12’s Sunday NFL action will undoubtedly be the clash between the Washington Commanders and the Dallas Cowboys—one of the “classic” matchups in American football. While these two teams arrive under very different circumstances, and the Cowboys are struggling this season, the rich history of this rivalry always makes it a must-watch game. The Origins of the NFC East Rivalry For over 50 years, the Commanders and Cowboys have been part of the NFC East division, a factor that not only makes this rivalry fierce but also deeply rooted in history. It’s worth noting that until a few years ago, the Commanders were known as the “Redskins,” who, in the last century, were consistently vying for divisional supremacy against the Cowboys.     Though Washington had already established itself in American football, the Cowboys’ arrival in the 1960s and their rapid rise in the 1970s provided the then-Redskins with a direct rival in the NFC East and the NFL at large. For the home team, the Commanders, they currently hold second place in the division with a 7-4 record, trailing the Eagles, who lead with an 8-2 record.     As for the visiting Cowboys, they are in dire straits. With their starting quarterback, Dak Prescott, sidelined due to injury, the team has a dismal 3-7 record, placing them just above the Giants, who are 2-8. This game is essentially do-or-die for the Cowboys if they hope to keep even a slim chance of reaching the wildcard playoffs, though their odds appear slim at this stage of the season. Despite the context, this game will undoubtedly be enjoyed for what it is: a classic NFL showdown. The game is scheduled for 12 p.m. Central Mexico Time, making it a great way to kick off the afternoon. Cover photo: X (@dallascowboys)

The Upset: Browns Defeat the Steelers

The Cleveland Browns stunned the Pittsburgh Steelers in a freezing showdown, winning 24-19. Despite a heroic comeback attempt by Pittsburgh, Cleveland sealed the victory with a final touchdown and thwarted the Steelers’ last-ditch miracle effort. The Pittsburgh Steelers were left frozen during their visit to Cleveland, as they arrived at Cleveland Browns Stadium under heavy snowfall, seeking to stay close to the leaders of the AFC. Against all odds, the home team triumphed, earning their third win of the season. On the field, after a scoreless first quarter, the Steelers were the first to get on the scoreboard in the second quarter with a 48-yard field goal.     The Browns responded with a rushing touchdown during a 12-play drive, taking a 7-3 lead. Later, they added another 34-yard field goal, ending the first half ahead 10-3. In the third quarter, the Steelers cut the deficit to just 4 points with another field goal. However, early in the final quarter, Cleveland extended their lead with a touchdown and a successful two-point conversion, making it 18-6. In the next few plays, Pittsburgh seemed poised for an epic comeback. First, they scored a touchdown, narrowing the score to 18-13. Then, a fumble caused by a sack on the Browns’ quarterback allowed the Steelers to recover the ball, leading to another touchdown. Despite missing the two-point conversion, they reclaimed the lead at 19-18. The Browns launched a new offensive drive, battling both the Steelers’ defense and worsening weather conditions, as the heavy snow became a significant factor. Although the Steelers intercepted the ball during this drive, the Browns’ defense held firm, stopping Pittsburgh deep in their territory. While they missed the two-point attempt, they left the scoreboard at 24-19 with only 57 seconds remaining. This forced the Steelers into an all-or-nothing situation, reaching Cleveland’s 39-yard line before a “Hail Mary” attempt ended the game, as the Browns’ defense blocked the miracle.
