🔥 Jesse Carrasquedo made a strong impression in his first participation in the Formula Regional Middle East Championship, scoring his first points and securing a spectacular podium finish in the third heat. The Mexican driver, backed by Escudería Telmex Telcel, showcased his talent at the Yas Marina Circuit, facing an intense weekend of competition.
From the moment he hit the track, Carrasquedo displayed great pace in qualifying, securing a second-row start for two of the three races of the event. Although the first heats were challenging, the Pinnacle Motorsport driver of car #33never backed down, finishing with a brilliant third place in the final race.
FIRST RACES, FIRST POINTS 🏁🔥
The young Mexican driver had to quickly adapt to the car and the team, managing to post competitive lap times in qualifying, with 1:49.862 and 1:49.493 in two sessions. This allowed him to start from fourth place in heats one and three, aiming to fight for the top spots.
🏎️ Heat 1: Jesse started from P4, but a difficult start caused him to lose positions. Despite an intense battle on track, he crossed the finish line in P11, earning his first 2 points in the championship.
🏎️ Heat 2: In this second race, the Mexican started from P11 and maintained a solid pace over 17 laps of the 5.282 km circuit. In the end, he repeated P11, adding 2 more points to his tally.
Although the first heats were a trial by fire, Carrasquedo remained focused on improving for the final challenge of the weekend.
THIRD PLACE AND A PODIUM FOR MEXICO! 🇲🇽🥉
With a winning mindset, Jesse Carrasquedo went all-in for the third heat, once again starting from P4. His aggressive yet strategic driving kept him in the fight, executing brilliant moves until securing third place in the 16-lap race.
🔥 “It was a tough weekend, but we learned a lot. I’m happy with this podium and motivated for what’s ahead,” said the driver after the celebration.
Thanks to this result, Jesse added 18 more points, closing the weekend with 22 championship points, a fantastic start to his debut season in the series.
