Araujo se queda y terminó la incertidumbre en Barcelona

Araujo Stays, Ending Uncertainty at Barcelona

The uncertainty surrounding Ronald Araujo’s future at Barcelona has come to an end. The Uruguayan defender, who had been sidelined for five months due to an injury suffered during the last Copa América, faced an expiring contract this winter transfer window. However, both parties have now reached an agreement, and the club’s vice-captain has officially extended his stay with the Blaugrana until June 30, 2031.

During a special event alongside Barcelona president Joan Laporta, Araujo signed his contract renewal. He expressed his happiness at committing to the club for many more years and showed gratitude for the trust the team has placed in him.

He also emphasized that the primary goal for the coming years is to win titles, with the Champions League being the top priority.

Araujo has made 154 appearances for Barcelona, scoring 8 goals and providing 6 assists. He has firmly established himself as a cornerstone of the team’s defensive line.
