With the energy of racing at home and deep knowledge of the circuit, driver Alexandra Mohnhaupt is getting ready to take on a crucial doubleheader in the 2025 Trucks México Series 🛻🇲🇽. The stage is set at the always-demanding Autódromo Internacional Miguel E. Abed in Amozoc, Puebla, where the third and fourth rounds of the championship will take place this Saturday and Sunday. Since the beginning of the season, Mohnhaupt has shown significant progress in her performance. Though she currently sits 11th in the championship with 63 points, the Puebla native feels this weekend could be a turning point in her participation in NASCAR México’s development series. “We’re not starting from scratch anymore. This time, we’re better prepared and more adapted, especially because it’s a circuit — and that’s where I feel most comfortable,” shared the driver, who represents the Prime Sports Racing Team 🏎️📈.

Doubleheaders are often decisive in any championship. With two races scheduled — one on Saturday and one on Sunday — and a format of 40 laps with a yellow flag on lap 18, the challenge will be not just technical but also strategic. In this context, Alexandra’s previous circuit experience could make a big difference. “The expectation is at least one podium, but honestly, we’re going for the win in both races,” she said with determination 💥.
The combination of confidence, track knowledge, and strong pace is what gives her an edge. “This type of circuit is a semi-oval with a technical section in the infield. We go into two fast turns and two hairpins. Although it’s not the full layout of the Miguel E. Abed, it’s a track I’ve known for many years. I know it better than the back of my hand, and that can really help us,” Alexandra explained with a smile ⚙️🧠.

Another factor boosting the driver’s motivation is the debut of the new tires being used this season in the Trucks México Series. Mohnhaupt was clear in describing the improvement: “They make us faster and give us more confidence going into corners. I’m sure we’ll be much quicker in Puebla with these tires,” she said.
The home race is also a chance to solidify her presence in the category, connect with the local fans, and prove she has what it takes to fight for top results in the rest of the season.
