πΉ The Mexico City driver highlights his learning experience at SΓΊper Γvalo Potosino
The 2025 NASCAR Challenge Series season opener brought a positive result for Rodrigo Maggio, who, in his debut in the category, secured a seventh-place finish and ended seventeenth overall after an intense race at SΓΊper Γvalo Potosino π.

Under challenging weather conditions and with a large crowd in the stands, the driver of car #16, backed by Armstrong Armored, Auto LΓneas Flores de Occidente, Dinametra, GO Construcciones y Pavimentos, San Pedro Pacific Products, CANO Comfricsa, Palco Reciclados, Beforinv, Atunsito, Profinmex, Arcos Supercenter, LexTrade, Dibagsa, and ElectrΓ³nicos y MΓ‘s, left a strong impression in his championship debut.

“It was a tough raceβthere are a lot of cars on track, and I need to get used to the race dynamics, but it was a great experience. We learned a lot about restarts and other key details for the upcoming rounds,” said the Prime Sports Racing Team driver.
π₯ A TRIAL BY FIRE IN HIS FIRST RACE
For Rodrigo Maggio, focus and patience were crucial in this first challenge within NASCAR Challenge. As the 2024 Trucks MΓ©xico Series champion, he now faces a higher level of competition, where any mistake can cost valuable positions.

“I always try to stay calm because when you start getting stressed, thatβs when mistakes happen,” explained Maggio, who managed to stay out of trouble throughout the race.
One of the biggest challenges at the Potosino oval was the on-track contact, something the young driver handled intelligently to secure a solid result in his first race.
“If I get hit, I just look ahead. But that doesnβt mean I shouldnβt stay aware of everything happening around me. You have to take care of the car to finish each race strong,” he added.

π CHIAPAS, THE NEXT CHALLENGE
With his debut successfully completed, Rodrigo Maggio is now focused on the second round of the championship, set for March 23 at SΓΊper Γvalo Chiapas in Tuxtla GutiΓ©rrez.
“Now itβs time to analyze what we did well and what we can improve. Chiapas will be a key race to keep adding points and learning even more about racing in this category,” stated Maggio.

His NASCAR Challenge journey is just beginning, but with the mindset and talent he has already displayed, his progress this season will be exciting to watch. ππ₯
