RICARDO CORDERO kicks off 2025 with strength, securing second place in the challenging Rally Perce-Neige of the Canadian Rally Championship (CRC) 🚗❄️. The driver from San Luis Potosí showcased his composure and skill on Quebec’s icy roads, overcoming mechanical issues and extreme weather conditions.
💥 AN UNFORGETTABLE DEBUT 💥
After an intense shake-down and reconnaissance, Cordero and his co-driver Marco Hernández faced a rally full of challenges. Freezing temperatures and engine breathing issues tested their strategy. “In one of the stages, the oil pressure rose, causing a leak, which forced us to take care of the engine before the service section,” explained Cordero. However, the 399 Tactical | GHR Motorsport team made critical adjustments that allowed the duo to return to the race with renewed strength.
🏁 STAGE WINS AND A WELL-DESERVED PODIUM 🏁
Despite the setbacks, Cordero and Hernández won several stages, finishing second on the podium. “We managed to maintain our position against a very close rival, and although we finished nearly three minutes behind first place, it was an excellent result for our debut in a snow rally,” said Cordero. This performance provides valuable experience for future international events.
🌍 CLEAR GOALS FOR 2025 🌍
With this result, Ricardo holds second place in the CRC championship, positioning himself as a strong contender for the season title. “We’re leaving happy with the results and eager to come back stronger for the next round,” assured the driver from San Luis Potosí.
📅 UPCOMING CHALLENGES 📅
Cordero’s next challenge will be the Rally Hecho México 🏖️, taking place from February 27 to March 2 in Huatulco, Oaxaca. After that, he’ll return to Canada for the second CRC round in British Columbia, scheduled for May 30 to June 1.
