The LMB announced the official schedule for the upcoming 2025 season

The Mexican Baseball League (LMB) has unveiled the schedule to commemorate its centennial. Featuring 93 games per team, an All-Star Game in June, and postseason action starting in August, the season kicks off on April 17 with a clash between the Diablos Rojos and the Leones, concluding with the King’s Series in September. The LMB officially announced the 2025 season schedule this Monday, marking 100 years since the league’s founding, making it an extra special season. The season will begin on April 17, 2025, with a game between the reigning champions, the Diablos Rojos del México, and the Leones de Yucatán. The rest of the teams will take to the diamond the following day, all aiming for the coveted King’s Series title.     You may be interested in: The Liga Mexicana de Softbol announced its schedule for the 2025 season What’s the schedule for the LMB’s 100th anniversary? Each of the 20 teams will play 93 games across 31 series. Additionally, Monday Night Baseball is back, with 17 games scheduled for this day of the week. Key dates include June 27, 28, and 29, reserved for the 2025 All-Star Game and Home Run Derby. The Alfredo Harp Helú Stadium will host the LMB’s finest for this celebratory event.     After the regular season concludes, the top 12 teams—six from the South Zone and six from the North Zone—will advance to the playoffs, which will be played as best-of-seven series. The postseason begins with the playoffs from August 9 to 18. Following that, the Zone Series will take place from August 19 to 28. The Championship Series is scheduled for August 29 to September 7, and finally, the King’s Series to crown the champion will run from September 9 to 17. Cover photo: milb.com

The Cleveland Cavaliers team is still on a roll. Now they got their seventeenth victory against the Toronto Raptors by a score of 122-108. With this victory they reached a 17-1 record, being the best team currently in the NBA. Likewise, the Cavs managed to reach a 10-0 home record, something that had not happened since the 2017/18 season. Mexico defeated Nicaragua in the Second Qualifying Window for the 2025 AmeriCup

The Mexican men’s basketball team won 86-77 against Nicaragua. With this victory, they are now second in Group C and will face Canada on November 24. The Mexican men’s basketball team began their participation in the Second Qualifying Window for the FIBA AmeriCup 2025 on Thursday with a victory over Nicaragua by 86-77 at the Polideportivo Alexis Argüello in Managua.      Under the leadership of Omar Quintero, the Mexican team dominated all four quarters thanks to an impressive offense led by Gael Bonilla, who, at just 21 years old, contributed 20 points and five rebounds.  At halftime, Mexico had a comfortable 50-31 lead, following a strong second quarter where they neutralized the hosts. In the second half, Karim Rodríguez and Paul Stoll sealed the victory, each contributing 15 points.  Also of interest: ¡Histórico! The Liga Mexicana de Softbol announced its schedule for the 2025 season

The official calendar begins on January 23 and ends on March 9. This season will see the addition of the Algodoneros de Unión Laguna and the Naranjeros de Hermosillo, increasing the competition to eight teams. Charros de Jalisco will aim to defend their title after defeating Sultanes de Monterrey in 2024. The season will kick off with opening games at various stadiums across the country. The top four teams from the regular season will advance to the playoffs, which will culminate with the Serie de la Reina, scheduled to take place from March 18 to 23, 2025.
