Liverpool Stays Unstoppable in the Premier League

Liverpool secured a crucial 2-0 victory over Manchester City at the Etihad, with goals from Mohamed Salah and Dominik Szoboszlai. The Reds now lead the Premier League with 64 points, 11 ahead of Arsenal. Liverpool Ends Winless Streak at the Etihad After nearly three years, Liverpool finally triumphed at Manchester City’s home ground. Salah was instrumental in the victory, opening the scoring in the 14th minute after a well-executed corner play. His deflected shot found the back of the net to give the Reds the lead. City had a moment of hope when Omar Marmoush scored, but the goal was disallowed for offside. Liverpool then sealed the win as Salah set up Szoboszlai, who placed his shot past Ederson for the 2-0 final score. Salah Chasing Records With a goal and an assist in the match, Salah has now tallied 25 goals and 16 assists in 27 games. With nine matches left, he is nine goals away from Erling Haaland’s single-season record (34) and four assists short of matching the all-time record set by Kevin De Bruyne and Thierry Henry (20).

El United se salvó contra el Everton

United Escapes Against Everton

Manchester United avoided defeat with a 2-2 draw against Everton. Beto and Doucouré put the hosts ahead, but Bruno Fernandes and Manuel Ugarte equalized. A late penalty for Everton was overturned by VAR, leaving United still struggling in the lower half of the Premier League table. United Salvages a Draw Against Everton The game at Goodison Park started strongly for the hosts, as Everton took the lead in the 19th minute. A chaotic corner kick sequence saw seven headers inside the box before Abdoulaye Doucouré assisted Beto, who slotted the ball into the net. Manchester United failed to respond in the first half, and Everton doubled their lead with a well-executed play. Jack Harrison found himself one-on-one with the keeper, forcing Onana into a save, but the rebound went high, allowing Doucouré to head it home for 2-0. Fernandes and Ugarte Lead United’s Comeback United finally reacted in the second half, and in the 72nd minute, Bruno Fernandes stepped up for a free kick just outside the box, slightly to the left. The Portuguese midfielder struck the ball perfectly, curling it into the bottom left corner to make it 2-1. Then, in the 80th minute, another Fernandes set-piece caused trouble for Everton’s defense. His free kick cross was initially cleared, but the ball fell to Manuel Ugarte at the edge of the box. The Uruguayan midfielder controlled it, set himself up, and fired a powerful shot into the right post, leaving Pickford helpless as the ball hit the net for 2-2. VAR Denies Everton a Last-Minute Penalty Deep into stoppage time (90+5’), Everton was awarded a penalty after Ashley Young was fouled inside the box. However, after a VAR review, the referee reversed the decision, and the match ended level at 2-2. United Still Struggling in the Standings With this result, Manchester United remains 15th in the table with 30 points, tied with West Ham but ahead on goal difference. Meanwhile, Everton sits 14th with 31 points from 26 matchs.  Cover photo: X (@ManUdt)

F1 COULD RETURN TO V10 ENGINES WITH SUSTAINABLE FUEL

Formula 1 could bring back its iconic sound with the return of V10 engines, but this time powered by sustainable fuel. The idea is currently under study and could mean a radical shift for the series. 🌟🏎️ A DECISION THAT WOULD CHANGE EVERYTHING Since 2014, F1 has used 1.6-liter V6 turbo-hybrid engines, an innovative but costly technology that has significantly reduced the sport’s legendary sound. However, FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem has opened the door to a potential return to the past, sharing an Instagram post highlighting the spectacular unveiling of all 10 teams in London. “As we look forward to the introduction of the 2026 regulations, we must lead the future technological trends in motorsport,” stated Ben Sulayem. “We must consider options like the roar of a V10 running on sustainable fuel. Whatever direction is chosen, we must ensure cost control for the teams.” 🏁🚀 ADVANTAGES AND CHALLENGES OF V10 ENGINES A return to V10 engines could bring several benefits. On one hand, it would lower development and manufacturing costs, which would greatly benefit smaller teams. Additionally, it would bring back the deafening sound that fans have been longing for. 🎶🚗 However, there are challenges as well. Some automakers might be reluctant to adopt an engine that, despite being simpler, represents a technological step back compared to modern hybrid solutions. Furthermore, F1 has been actively pushing for greener technologies, making the implementation of 100% sustainable fuels a key factor in justifying such a change. 🌍🚜 AN UNCERTAIN FUTURE FOR F1 The FIA has confirmed that it is engaging in discussions with various stakeholders to define the future of F1 beyond 2030. A working group is expected to be formed soon to explore all possibilities, including the option of sustainable V10 engines. 🌐📈 For now, V6 hybrids will remain on the grid until 2026, but the possibility of reviving the V10 era has sparked an intriguing debate about the balance between sound, excitement, and sustainability in Formula 1. 💡🏆 Would you like to see the V10s return to F1? The discussion is on the table! 💭
