THE CHAMPIONS WHO MADE THEIR MARK IN MEXICO Over these 10 years, Mexican fans have thrilled to eight races in Mexico City and two in Puebla. 🏁 Seven drivers and six different teams have tasted glory on Mexican soil: In the 2015-16 season, German Jérôme d’Ambrosio (Dragon Racing) became the first champion in Mexico. Lucas di Grassi redeemed himself in 2016-17 with Audi Sport ABT Schaeffler after a previous disqualification. In 2017-18, Daniel Abt brought Audi Sport back to victory. The 2018-19 season was marked by drama as Lucas di Grassi snatched victory from Pascal Wehrlein (Mahindra Racing) just meters from the finish, claiming his second win in Mexico.
