Chicago took advantage of Thanksgiving and thanked their coach Matt Eberflus

The Chicago Bears announced yesterday the firing of head coach Matt Eberflus. This after the loss they suffered on Thanksgiving against the Detroit Lions, where a decision by Eberflus doomed the result against the Bears. Thus, the former coach left Chicago with a 14-32 record in two seasons. One of the worst records in franchise history. The team’s offensive coordinator, Thomas Brown, will assume the position of interim coach, according to the team’s press release.    Cover photo: X (@NFL)

Iga Swiatek in trouble, tennis player sanctioned for doping

Former world No. 1 tennis player, now ranked second in the world, Iga Swiatek, received a one-month ban from the courts for testing positive for a banned substance in her system. The Polish tennis player tested positive for trimetazidine, a metabolic agent that helps the body’s oxygenation to metabolize fatty acids faster. For this reason, the International Tennis Integrity Agency (ITIA) decided to suspend one of today’s top tennis players for a full month. Swiatek, who accepted the suspension, told the ITIA that she ingested the agent involuntarily while taking medication to treat her sleep disorder. Iga had already been provisionally suspended while her case was being tested, this was from the period of September 22 to October 4 of this year. In contrast, major teams like Manchester City, Juventus, Real Madrid, and PSG are facing significant drops in the standings. Another round of UEFA Champions League action has come to an end, bringing notable shifts in the overall competition standings. After five matchdays, Liverpool’s flawless run stands out, along with Inter’s consistency and the repositioning of Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, and Bayer Leverkusen among the top spots. Meanwhile, teams like Manchester City, Juventus, and Real Madrid suffered setbacks.     The Top of the Table The top eight teams, which secure direct qualification to the Round of 16, include the aforementioned super-leader Liverpool. Behind them is the tournament’s other undefeated team, Inter, with 13 points. Barcelona and Dortmund are in third and fourth places with 12 points each. In fifth place, the surprise of the season, Atalanta, holds 11 points. Completing these spots, Bayer Leverkusen, Arsenal, and Monaco occupy sixth, seventh, and eighth places respectively, each with 10 points.     Teams Reclaiming Momentum In the middle of the standings, within the 16 playoff-qualifying positions, are clubs that have begun to pick up points and now pose a threat to the leaders. Bayern Munich sits in 13th place with 9 points, just behind Aston Villa, Sporting Lisbon, Stade Brestois, and LOSC Lille, all of whom have 10 points.     Other teams regaining their footing include Atlético Madrid and AC Milan, who are in 15th and 16th places respectively. Triple NFL Game Slate for “Thanksgiving”!

Thanksgiving brings a triple-header of NFL action: Lions vs. Bears kicks off the day with Detroit as the favorite; Cowboys vs. Giants will shape NFC aspirations; and Packers vs. Dolphins closes the night with a key playoff matchup. This Thursday isn’t just any day—it’s Thanksgiving in the United States, which means a full day of NFL action. Known as “Thanksgiving” in this country, the day features three games starting at 11:30 a.m. and wrapping up with the third game at 7:20 p.m., all in Central Time.     Lions vs. Bears: The starter on today’s menú The action begins bright and early with an exciting matchup as the Detroit Lions host the Chicago Bears at 11:30 a.m. Like a bowl of creamy corn soup, this appetizer promises to set the tone for the day. The Lions boast an impressive 10-1 record, making them the best team in the NFC, while the Bears sit at the bottom of the NFC North standings with a 4-7 record. Detroit is the clear favorite, but the Bears could still surprise. Cowboys vs. Giants: The ideal side dish As essential as mashed potatoes and ham, the Dallas Cowboys continue the Thanksgiving tradition, hosting the New York Giants at AT&T Stadium. This side dish is sure to satisfy fans ahead of the main course. Both teams are struggling this season, and this game could determine whether they still have a shot at an NFC Wild Card spot or should start planning for next year. Dallas currently holds a 4-7 record, while New York trails with a dismal 2-8. Kickoff is at 3:30 p.m. You may be interested in: ¿Qué pasó con Colin Kaepernick?, el ex quarterback que fue vetado de la NFL Packers vs. Dolphins: The main course of the night It’s time to carve the turkey, and what better way to accompany the main course at the dinner table than with a prime-time football matchup? The Green Bay Packers aim to stay in playoff contention with their 8-3 record, placing them third in the tough NFC North, which includes the Lions and Vikings. This makes the victory crucial for Green Bay.     However, the Packers face a formidable challenge in the Miami Dolphins. The Dolphins are on a hot streak with three consecutive wins against the Rams, Raiders, and Patriots, improving to a 5-6 record. They currently sit second in the AFC East behind the Bills, making this game just as important for their playoff hopes. Liverpool easily beat Real Madrid

Liverpool easily beat Real Madrid to remain leaders in the Champions League

Liverpool continues its perfect pace in the UEFA Champions League. The “Reds” added their fifth consecutive victory in the European competition with a 2-0 home win over Real Madrid. Throughout the match, the English team was far superior to the Spaniards, but it was not until 52′ when Alexis Mac Allister, in a very good team play, put this dominance on the scoreboard. In the 76th minute, Liverpool scored the definitive goal in a prefabricated play from a corner kick, which ended in a full header by Cody Gakpo.  You may be interested in: https://titansports.mx/barcelona-volvio-al-camino-del-triunfo-tras-vencer-al-brest/   In the game, Kylian Mbappé missed a penalty, this for a great save by Caoimhín Kelleher, which would have meant the equalizer for Madrid. Likewise, Mohamed Salah missed from the 11 steps, when he tried to secure his shot against Thibaut Courtois’ right post, the ball grazed the post and went out, this goal would have meant the 2-0 at the time for the home team. With this result, Liverpool is the only team with 15 points after five Champions League matches. Cover photo: X (@Liverpool)
